Who is Little Fat Bird Studio?

Hello, my name is Fiona Taylor and I am the creator of Little Fat Bird Studio.

My pottery journey began in 2020 when I took a local class in handbuilt pottery. Soon afterwards Covid hit and classes were cancelled, so I continued at home on my dining room table. I spent a couple of years making things for friends and family then decided to turn my passion into a small business.

Each piece is hand built using locally produced clay, and hand decorated, often taking many hours to produce. The result: Unique collectible pieces that I hope will bring joy to each and every person who takes them home.

I have long held the belief that in order to stand out, you have to stand on your own.

In the world of social media where we are saturated daily with brilliance from every

corner of the world, it is impossible not to take inspiration from everything you see,

however it is not my intention to ever knowingly copy the work of another artist.

I promise to do my best to plunder the depths of my own integrity and imagination

and produce pieces that wholly represent my own creative journey.
